'Digits' Puzzle for Palm

Description

Version 2.01

'Digits' Puzzle for Palm is a simple though amusing logical game, which opens SaM-Solutions line of games designed specifically for Palm computers. 'Digits' might appear easy on the face of it, but later you discover how very brainteasing it is. So if you want to pass your time in a useful way developing your logic skills and entertain yourself at the same time, this game is just what you need!

The game's goal is to remove all squares with numbers. The squares are removed in chains. You can group several squares into a chain by marking them one-by-one.

A new square can be added to the chain only if it stands next to the previously marked square (on the right, left, top or bottom, but NOT diagonally) and if the numbers of all marked squares form an ascending or descending sequence. The number of the last marked square should be greater or less than the previous square number by 1.

For example: the following squares can be grouped into chains:

== or == == or ==

The following squares cannot be grouped into chains:

== or == == or ==

The only exception to this rule is the universal square . The universal square can be added to any square at any time. Besides, the universal square can join two chains. For example, the following squares can be grouped into chains:

or

From time to time little arrows will appear at the bottom of the game field. You can tap these arrows to move the column to the left or to the right. The arrows will appear only under those columns, whose squares can be moved in the corresponding direction.

The player receives n*n scores for removing every group that contains the n number of squares.
